Claudio Iván Remeseira is a journalist and writer residing in New York City since 2001. He holds a degree in philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires and a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
From 1991 to 2001, he taught at the School of Social Sciences, University of Buenos Aires (UBA), and since 2002, at Columbia University, The New School, and The College of New Rochelle. Editor of Hispanic New York (Columbia University Press, 2010), an anthology of social and cultural history essays that won the 2011 Latino International Book Award for Best English Reference Book.
Among other publications, he has worked for The Wall Street Journal, El Diario, Diario Rumbo (U.S.), La Nación and Página/12 (Argentina), and he is currently completing his Ph.D. dissertation on the origins of the Theology of the People at the School of Social Sciences, UBA.
